As long as you're alive and you're an American living in the U.S., the 4th of July celebration should last 365 days a
year for you. (Written July 3rd of 2000)
Shhhhhhh... you were dreaming.
Dreaming about a world full of love and peace. A place of support and companionship. A life where God is perfect and humanity
has no sin. Then you wake up! You realize that the chaos is right infront of your face. Where the painful war smashes you
so hard in the head, that it blinds you from reality. The 4th of July is a day that lasts 365 days a year
for me. Not a day goes by where I don't have a thought about what war has done for my life. I cry as I listen to the war song
and respect all that have died for me. While men and women battled through Hell, people now fancy their fast cars, meaningless
possessions, and sell their souls. In WAR, friends witnessed friends die as they watched the disease of humanity blow up infront
of their faces. In the world today, it seems that materiatistic possessions has a higher value than love and
affection. Don't allow these historical soldiers die in vein. Just once in your life, try to take a few minutes to shed a
single tear for all the soldiers that have given you what you have. Realize that when you laugh and smile
at the fireworks blowing off, these soldies fought for our freedom while witnessing the living pain of Hell and the true horrors
of bombs exploding in their faces. As you listen to the song, try to listen for the cries Fancis Scott Key had when he wrote
"The Star Spangled Banner." All these people fought or died for something they believed
in. They believed in the freedom and Glory of America. Would any of you die for what you believe in? Do any of you even believe
in anything this powerful? Some people may mock me behind my back for the things I stand for and say, but I don't care. I
am willing to fight and die for what I believe in. I will do my best to lash out and fight with all the energy that these
soldiers have done to make my freedom possible! Please try to think of some of these things while enjoying your 4th of July
celebration. Thank you for reading.
