The Alien Orthodox is an odd thought compared to most views. I believe in many things but give myself the benefit of a doubt. We all need to believe in something that can't be proven that makes life a little more exciting, or a belief that may help us cope or understand the unexplained. This is what I have to say about other religions.

I will accept any religion or non-religion and I won't put any person down for what they believe in or what they feel is right within their philosophies. I say this as long as people practice what they preach. It's hard to tolerate hypocritical minds.

I will listen to any person's views and learn what I can from what they've thought, but once a person tries to force their beliefs on me (make me a follower) I will close them out. I don't believe that it's proper to force your views on others. We all believe what we believe for a good reason. These many views help all of us deal with life in some way. Harassing someone to change or become a different person isn't the way life should be. That's in my mind at least.

Everything is right and everything is wrong in my imagination. A big contradiction! I believe life on Earth was made to be that way. Look and understand both the good and bad about everything, including yourself. See what's bad about the good, and what's good about the bad. Evaluate and understand both sides of any situation before making a conclusion. Believe what you will as long as it's good for you. That's my opinion at least.

"My life the contradiction: It doesn't make me happy, it doesn't make me sad, it just helps me understand."
-Dave Serfozo-

Many people don't believe in Jesus Christ, the following, or that he existed. Well in my mind, even if Jesus didn't exist, why wouldn't you want to follow an image or character like that? So many religions have an image of a hero, savior, spirit, god, gods, etc. So many people these days have heroes that are in wrestling, movies, etc., that aren't really real, but they follow the image any ways. Looking at all the religious icons in the many world religions: I see nothing wrong in learning from a person/spirit/icon that teaches wisdom that lives an existence wanting to better humanity. Real or not, why should non-believers care? It's still a good way to learn about life.

Someone asked me once if God existed, and if God is real, to prove it. I followed up with his question with another question. I asked that person, "Is there a smarter higher you?" That person thought about it and finally said, "Yes." I then asked him to prove to me that he has a higher self. He couldn't prove it to me at that point in time.

Is there a smarter higher you? We all become smarter and wiser everyday in our lives by learning from our mistakes and from the teachings of others. No one can prove that they have a higher self until tomorrow. Even then you will become smarter the next day. It's endless.

I am not ready to type my Alien Orthodox beliefs/philosophies just yet. I'm working on many stories to explain my views about life, but working on this site and with the help from friends, I am still trying to organize the little things about this world in my head. But, I assure you... I will attempt to give a logical explanation for everything. I'm sure many Thinkers will find it interesting.

Religions have many good sides. They teach morals and educate people about other positive issues. Then again some religions also have their bad side. I have one huge problem with some Religions. Most organized religions control people by telling people how to live life, and if that person doesn't obey their laws, eternal punishment will occur. I disagree with thoughts like that and I would give my life if I knew how to prove them wrong.

I understand why laws are important though. Laws protect our lives and everyone we care about. But, when it comes to religion, I feel that everyone has the choice to decide what faith is right for them without getting punished. I've heard Religious freaks too many times tell strangers that they're going to go to Hell just because the stranger doesn't believe in their religion. I've read that Harry Potter books are getting burned in the twenty-first century... come on, haven't some of these religions evolved yet or learned anything new since their religion was created centuries ago?

I'm sure "Their God" is proud
of these people's inappropriate actions
(Bombing abortion clinics, burning books, and trying to destroy other religions)

"Too many people want to control others with religion and I'm F***ing sick of hearing it."
"I trust no one that wishes to control me."

I disagree with many relatives, friends, and people I talk to about philosophies/religions, and they feel the same about my views, but when we come together, we can have a calm rational discussion. The world governments have the United Nations, why haven't I heard about the United Religions? Simple irrational people just simply don't get along. We can all learn to accept and understand other's thoughts and why we all believe in them. "The United Nations." Religion needs to open a door and form an organization with the same concept.
"We can all learn from anyone and anything."
-Me-

I have found open minded people are one of the greatest gifts in my life: To be able to talk to and care for people as I disagree with their thoughts. I have found people that I can actually have a rational philosophical/religious conversation with. These people have helped me climb to new levels in life and I thank them all.
-Please become one of these people-
Those who close out other people's beliefs: I feel so sorry for you.

(A closing thought after taking an intro to World Religions)
(Fall of 2001)

Through what I've learned about many world religions and some of my bias thoughts I'm still trying to destroy, I've helped myself realize that there is a HUGE difference between religious texts and the people who follow it. I use to place the religion and the followers together, but now I see the difference. What a religion stands for and what's displayed through the believer's actions are two totally different things. Example: Off balanced Christians, Catholics, Religious Evangelists, and the simple fact involving the thoughts of the terrorists on 9-11-01. I see now that many people are horrible examples of a religious human being. In fact, I think it's so sad that many ignorant and close-minded people are giving the beautiful religion they follow such a bad name. I respect all religions I've studied, but not all the people who follow them...

Below is one of the most respectable views I've ever read when it involves religious texts.
-Traditional Zoroastrianism-
The Righteous of every nation in this world are present in heaven. Thus, the Righteous of every religion go to heaven. All religions are equal, and it is folly to convert. Conversion goes against the Master Law of Righteousness itself, because God has given us birth in our respective religions, to adore him in them, and not to mistrust His Judgement and rebel and go over to another faith.
For, each faith leads ultimately to God.
-From the Zoroastrian faith-
